Originals
Good to know
The oil pastel itself never dries completely.
Once in their final home, the best way to protect oil pastel artworks and most of the artworks is to put them behind anti-reflective glass with a spacer (passepartout) placed between the glass and the artwork. I'll do my best to protect your artwork. If the artwork's nature makes it possible I close it with varnish or fixative spray.
For quality reasons, I create my oil pastel paintings using professional quality, non-toxic, highly light-fast oil pastels.
I usually seal my graphite and colored pencil works with a fixative spray. For aesthetic reasons it is also worth highlighting these works with spacers (passepartout) when framing.
Artworks created with 100% lightfast wax oil pastel don't require fixative coating according to the original Swiss paint manufacturer's recommendation.
Prints
Good to know
Some of the preview images throughout the webstore may appear slightly too bright or have low contrast. However, the print you receive will have the same brightness, contrast, deep darks, and vivid colors as the original artwork.
Prints are sold without frame, for now. Once in their final home, they look elegant framed behind anti-reflective glass.
